Wii U to support 2 tablet controllers at launch...

Nintendo engineers have listened to the post E3 comments. About the need to have support for 2 of their new tablet controllers on 1 Wii U.

Story here. If this is true, then its really great news.

The Wii U's processor speed and RAM capacity are also still to be locked down.

Nice to see Nintendo keeping there options open.

More powaaaaaa... is always a good thing for a systems lifespan, especially with new systems from thier rivals in the next year or two.

I agree, the wii only had 91mb memory and a 749mhz cpu, terribly underpowered compared to the Xbox 360's 2.4ghz tri-core cpu and 512mb memory

Is it me or does it seem like they are making up the capabilities of this machine as they go along? It clearly wasn't ready for E3 and as they get criticism, it seems to be changing on the fly

I don't think it was MEANT to have been finalised; as it was still in the prototype stage. It's good that they're still considering these things before finalising them as it typically means we'll get a more up to date machine when it arrives; and potentially one with more developer support if they've included requested features.
