I keep thinking of getting myself another Wii but then I think about it some more and conclude I won't really play it.
The one I had was fun at the time but in hindsight I am not sure if it is still for me.

Could we have a poll along the lines of:

I have a Wii and I play it:

1. Daily.
2. Regularly..
3. Hardly ever.
4. Forgotten how to turn it on.

I am trying to assess if it was only a gimmick for most people after all.

I have played my wii every day since Christmas day. Everybody in my family loved it, my dad would keep pestering me to play it. Even my Mum who would not touch video games would join in on the wii.

Now I am back at uni me and my house mates play wii sports every day, even when we really should be working. I cant really see us not playing it constantly for the foreseeable future, wii sports is just to much fun. The big thing for us now is getting and keeping pro status in bowling!

Kind of drifting back to PC games, I wouldn't say it was just a gimmick but it needs a few more games to be released.

Wii Sports and Zelda are great, nothing else on it warrants me spending £35 in my opinion.

Your choice, good fun but not an essential.

That said, there are days when I love it and days when I just can't be bothered with it. I'd say it was more worthwhile if you don't have a Gamecube.

Christmas day, there are no good games out for it (for adults) and the retro games that have came out have been rubbish.

Looking at the games coming out, theres nothing to look forward to either.

there are more adult games out for it in the future,, there,s a cel shaded one pre killer 7,, but free roaming,, sounds good to me:)

This is kind ofwhat I am thinking, if I wait a while I can get a bundle deal and save some cash.

Regulary here. Need more time in the day :p Plus I keep going back to my PC games too.

Still love the little console though :)

Every day - bought it release night, but not opened till xmas.

Not mammoth sessions, probably only 20-30 mins at a time... mostly Wii Sports bowling & golf, although if my son is around then it'll be Zelda and we'll play for longer.

VC isn't quite what I was hoping it'd be... losing interest a bit in that, although will get round to downloading SF II some time. The GCN games are the opposite though, and are proving popular when I didn't really think I'd be interested in them... gonna get Donkey Konga for it next and play the bongos a lot :D

I'm in a catch-22 with Time at the moment, the single player games that I've got to play really need an hour or so set aside to play at a time (currently Red Steel and Wind Waker(GC)), and the ones that you can just pick up and play for 10-20minutes or so are more enjoyable when you're playing with someone else (i.e. Wii Sports and Wii Play).

Still I pick up and play every few days.

I was playing with my Wii daily (for 3-4 hours a day) to begin with, but for the past couple of weeks I've barely turned it on.

However, the main reason I haven't played it for the past week or two is because i've been too busy with other things (painting like mad to get some models done for a weekend away*).
Starting a week Tuesday (when I get back), I'm expecting to spend a lot of time on it again.

*I've barely watched a DVD even in the past month.

I enjoyed it for a couple of days, then gave it to my daughter, i tried to sell it yesterday and the house was in uproar.

Id seriously wait till something decent comes out that you would enjoy, wii sports is fun for a few days (but you had a few already so you know that).

If im being brutally honest, i feel that im missing out by not getting achievements :)

Regularly. Not quite daily but almost, though recently I've just been playing R-Type for hours on end from the virtual console :D

Finally got to the level 5 boss, then died very quickly :( there are 8 levels.

If you want some kind of comparison, we have an X360 and a Wii and the Wii is used more at the moment.
