I got my Wii about 2 months ago now, and due to the somewhat questionable launch line-up, I only have Wii Sports (which has no great lasting appeal) and Super Monkey Ball BB (very easy if you're adept with the GC titles). Obviously there are some great titles coming out, but it sucks to be PAL in this regard.

As such, I've been devoting my attention a lot more to the VC... is anyone the same? I've completed the following:

-Actraiser
-TLoZ:ALttP
-Super Mario World (all 96 exits in 2 sittings, yes I'm sad)
-Kirby's Adventure
-Bonk 2: Bonk's Revenge
-Shadow Warrior/Ninja Gaiden
-Super Castlevania IV

Completed Zelda and SMW to 100% on my SNES but the nostalgia is immense. I also got Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo and Excitebike for pick-up-and-play action. I'm most awaiting Kirby's Fun Pak and Super Mario World 2.

IMO they just don't make games like they used to... tbh I'd probably get the Wii for this alone—old games optimised for a big TV (and an in-built save for those old games)—and with sites like vc-reviews.com (no, I'm not advertising for them) kicking new life and interest into games, it's great to pick up ones I've never heard of - some right gems out there. Every Friday (EU releases) is exciting! </child>

So, which games have you got for it? Are you playing it a lot, or more than your Wii itself? Which games are you looking forward to?

Why not get Zelda TP for the Wii?

I have Sonic 1,3 and Golden Axe. Only had my Wii 7 days and thought I might as well spend the points.

I hope they put Killer Instinct up there.

I have Zelda 3 and Super Mario World so far, will probably get gunstar heros next. Waiting for Mario 3

Their good fun but their not really optimised at all, as in we get the orignal PAL release's with big fat borders (most of the mega drive games and quite a few of the nintendo ones - wikipedia has a complete list). For the amount they charge they could have atleast made them run at the same speed as their NTSC counterparts or atleast give us the option to play the NTSC version.

I've only picked up a few real classic's so far like the Mario's and Streets of Rage, my favourite so far has to be 5 player Bomberman though. Countless hours lost playing that game. Was looking at the Sonic games recently but its really not worth it when you can get all the the decent mega drive sonic games for £9.99 on the Sonic Mega Collection disc (7 games + a few more) whereas they would cost £24ish on the virtual console just for Sonic 1-3 and Knuckles (and no doubt they'd charge us more for the Sonic & Knuckles lock on games :p)

I'm so miffed cause I can't buy any VC games till I update the firmware to v3, which I don't want to do because it'll break my Freeloader which I use for Donkey Konga 2 and Karaoke Revolution.

Damn you, Nintendo... I don't pirate games yet I'm being punished. And damn Datel for not having a workaround yet.
