Wii vote channel

Saw that this was available via an update & shop download today, anyone else had a look at it?

Only got as far as going into the main screen, but actually looks reasonably in-depth.

Nice addition for free

Woke up to find the slot blue, but couldnt work out what was new. No message like there has been before, so just turned it off.

When I first turned on after seeing the blue light, there was no message in my inbox either (I felt sad as I thought someone had emailed me

)

So came out and then went back in and it appeared.

Just downloaded the vote channel, seems a little basic at the moment, but I'm sure that will change when votes start to come in, and results can be viewed.

I had a go with it. I think my kids will love this as my daughter is learning to read, and my son just likes seeing his mii.

I'm having a little trouble with my wireless internet, so whilst my Wii received the mail, it didn't let me connect for an update. I'll try again tonight, before I play on Wario Ware (Valentine's... I <3 my missus!

Eventually found it in the shop, as above the message was available upon booting again. Bit of a bug there I guess. Strange how it asked me to update and then I still had to download from the shop.

Yes it's a bit strange, happened the other way for me - I downloaded the vote channel but then it kicked me out and said I had to do a system update before I could vote. I guess the update created the option in system settings for region input which is required for the vote channel.
