Ok for the past few months i have had problems with my wifi on my wii. the situation is that internet and shop channel works fine and have downloaded content. however the news channel, weather channel and vote/contest channel give me error messages when they try and retreive information.

At first i thought it was just a firmware problem but have updated twice since then and the problem still persists. i also sent Nintendo support and e-mail as the error code i was receiving did not show up on their Knowledge base.

this is the response i got.

Hi!

Our experience with the Error Code you mentioned is that it could be a temporary issue related to your internet connection at home. You may simply want to wait an hour or two, and try again. If you are accessing the internet on your computer at the same time that you are connecting your Wii online, it also may be helpful to close the programs on your computer that are using your internet connection.

If the above troubleshooting doesn't solve the problem, we need some additional information about the problem you are experiencing. We will need:
-- The error message and/or error code that you receive
-- The brand and model number of your wireless router (if you have one)
-- The brand and model number of your modem (if different from your router)
-- Any other connected networking devices (network switches, hubs, firewalls, servers, etc)
-- The type of broadband internet connection (cable, DSL, etc) and ISP
-- Any specific troubleshooting steps you have already tried on our website.

And, in case we need to reach you directly:
-- Your name
-- Your phone number (Must be in the US or Canada)
-- the best time to reach you (for example, 3-7pm PST Mon Thurs. Also note we are open seven days a week from 6am 6pm PST).

Of course, you may reach us directly by dialing 1-800-895-1672. Our representatives are available between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time, seven days a week.

Thanks for your email!

the main error code i get is 107245

im just wondering if anyone else has found a solution?

I don't think its a (local) wifi issue, what internet provider do you use?

I was on Tesco Broadband and i am now on ADSL24, had the problem on Tesco and its still the same on ADSL24. i was going to try changing encryption from WPA to WEP but i had a lot of hastle doing this the last time its hardly worth it considering its a 50/50 chance.

I honestly dont think it's your wireless, if it was, the shop would not work.
