Wikipedia with Virgin

Anyone having issues? Can't get on to Wikipedia at all, restarted router etc and nothing. Can see the site via ping and nslookup, just not navigate to it from any device at home.

3G works fine, so it's my router or Virgin.

Changed whatever DNS my router uses as standard to Google's servers, now working.

I'm on Virgin and there are multiple sites inaccessible at the moment - the whole service is much slower than normal too (cable).

How do you change DNS?

just go into your browser settings and set the proxy to webcache.virginmedia.com on port 8080
until they fix their dns server.
in firefox its
tools > options > advanced > network and next to where it says "connection" click settings , click manual proxy configuration and fill in the virginmedia webcache as above

maybe it ewas webcache.blueyonder or the webcache.ntl ones

or maybe not at all because didnt they stop using a webcache by default ages ago?

Had no issues since I put in Google's DNS servers on my DIR 655. No point in changing it back I guess?
