Wildlife camera speck me

I think you are having a mid life crisis. Oh Wait....

Do you have any experience with photography, just even basics? Do you currently own a compact, bridge or SLR camera?

Looking for a good value[cheap] wildlife camera ,any of you good people out there have any experience with any? don't know the first thing about them

What I am after is one of those infer red jobbies you set up at night and see what comes around

No disrespect but your question is very similar to friends and relatives that ask me about camera and how does one get images like this and that. Not all cameras are the same and asking this in this forum isn't as simple as "get this" and you'll be good to go.

Your request is very niche as IR camera isn't cheap and those cheap ones are not going to produce anything you see on the BBC documentry, neither will they be 1 easily transported.

If you are going to Africa or a Safari trip in the near future and looking for a camera, might I suggest you contact the safari for information or something you can lease during your trip.

If you're looking to set a camera box up in your garden to see foxes / badgers / doggers, then try http://www.wildviewcameras.co.uk/ and similar products for setup kit.

If you are looking to get into it, then Google is your friend. You start by learning the basics, knowing the terms and what they mean, then the sensor size and variety of camera, before making an informed decision to purchase something.

Good luck.
