Will 120mhz monitor work with my set up please?

Not sure of the exact monitor you're referring to but you'll get 120Hz using dual link DVI or DisplayPort.

I assume your HD 7850 has both of those connections so use whichever one is compatible with the monitor.
 
According to that link, your card has both displayPort and Dual-link DVI so will be ok. Just remember to enable 120Mhz in the display settings as it doesn't do this automatically in the Windows desktop.

That monitor is the same as what I have, it's pretty good.

Thanks Daniel will do so. BTW why would you need 1200W PSU with your 1 GPU set up? Thats a bit of a overkill...

Future-proofing is useful :) I'm wishing I'd picked up a higher capacity PSU - the current one won't handle quad-sli.

Also - it's a maximum capacity - not a constant draw.

So if you're system only actually pull 400W - it doesn't matter if you have a 600W or 1200W psu - both will draw the same power.

(that's not taking in to account various efficiencies etc, in reality - the 1200W PSU will likely use slightly less power in total than the 600W due to its efficiency being relative to % of throughput - however the difference would be tiny!)

Me too... even Mhz vs MHz vs MHZ bothers me, it's MHz!

... but a 120MHz monitor would be AWESOME! :D Albeit we probably can't interpret anything over 1kHz (perhaps sooner).

Yeah I think 1kHz would be pushing it. :p And I should have said 'It is 120Hz not 120mhz' - didn't mean to make things any better by adding at least one proper capital. Poor Hertz will be turning in his grave.

No - my point was the OP said 'mhz' not 'Mhz'. Mhz is more correct than 'mhz' (hence the 'make things better' comment) but obviously MHz is entirely correct.
