Will 380w Earthwatts be enough...

Hi all,

Building a small file server will have a single core AMD CPU 2.2Ghz. 4x 640Gb AAKS and 2x 500AAKS with the following motherboard:

Question is will the 380 do it or do I need more or even drop to a 350 basic?

Even the 350W will be fine...around 90% certain.

The 380 would do it but I wouldn't touch the Basiq with a long, pointy stick.

Thanks guys. The most stress it will probably have is copying stuff from HDD to HDD or raring and unraring files.

Yes. I have 3 of these in various builds for various people. I have mine running 43x500gb and 4x1tb drives + an 6000+ 2gb ram plus a couple of addon cards and it doesnt even pull 180W fully loaded.

The Basiq 350 is a decent PSU and will do the job easily. Even if he overvolts and overclocks the CPU hardcore.
