Thinking of a 750w PSU

See sig for spec, but will be switching to I7 in a few months and adding in second GTX280 bought in the OCUK sale.... Will that do the job.... Or should I go higher?

The 9600 isn't a high powered card, and can't draw more than it normally would just because it's processing PhysX... so 750W will be fine :)

Well both are good. BeQuiet tends to be quite expensive and is obviously a good PSU, so if you can get it at the same price then it's great. 750w is also more than enough, I would try out the Dark Power.

yes thats another I looked at, dont know why just not sure about zalman for a PSU, plus coolermaster has 5 year warranty....

May well be totally irrational..

Right well just made a trip to a competitor - normally always shop at ocuk but thought id get this lunch time and then fit tonight, but competitor as is the case v often just says "normally in stock" against items - they hadnt got the coolermaster - only the 1200 / 1250 watt version and i didnt want that, so I have ordered from OCUK the

**B Grade** Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 750W ATX2.2 Modular SLi C

Thanks for all the advice lads - im just a bit worried it wont be enough but the internet posts around the place seem to confirm the general opinion here that it should be.... I mean min draws around 350w under load at the moment..... (with the voltage reader I have)

Ill let you know what its like when it (hopefully) arrives tommorow!

Cool, and if its drawing 500W say, at 80% efficient that means the PSU is only dishing out 400 so should be well within the compass :-)

Its been despatched, so Ill run a test when it arrives, see how much it uses with all 3 gcards and the CPU folding :-)

K its arrived, ill look to test some power readings, considering its "b" grade it was all boxed up very nicely and seemed pretty much new. Fingers crossed it works!
