Will a 3930K make a difference to FSX?

This thread should help you out. FSX by default is a absolute ***** to run, you need to get some config tweaks to get it properly running on a modern computer.

That's one hell of a setup you already have so I can't see that changing to a 3930K is really going to make a huge change to performance.
Would be an expensive setup change too what with new motherboard, processor and possibly more memory. Though of course you could sell your current cpu/mb.
A lot of money to spend for possibly little gain.

I'm curious, what performance do you get on that setup? My list of addons outgrew my phenom's processing power a long time ago and an upgrade has been bugging me for a while.
I'm presuming one of your addons is Aerosoft London x if its bringing a 2500k and a gtx680 to its knees...
