Will A 6950 Work in my System

Need an Upgrade from my current GTS250

My Specs is:
Asus M4A78LT-M Motherboard
AMD 1090T @ 4.0GHZ
Xigmatek Asgard case
500W OCZ PSU

Also is the 6950 better than the GTX 470 Superclocked or the GTX560

The 6950 can reach higher maximum frame rates than the 470 when compared stock for stock, iirc the 560 and the 6950 are about equal.

There is a site called Anandtech which has a useful benchmark that allows you to compare gpu v gpu, cpu's and so on. Atm the site is experiencing problems, take a look when its running back to normal and make a comparison between the 560 and 6950.

...requires a 450 watt minimum, so you might be ok. OCZ is quite a good brand which is important in situations like these.

Re: the 480, what exactly is your price range? There are three there with different prices. I assume you are referring to the stock Asus and the OCUK value models? Iirc the 480's need around a 600 watt psu to be on the safe side. They are power hungry cards, particularly the reference models.

I got like £400 dont wana get a card more than £250 though and the GTX480 is on for £220

The thing is the ATI cards look long, when i look in my case i think theres enough space but im not sure

The 6950 is very long.
THe Asus direct Cu2 is the longest card I've ever seen ;p
