but here are my concerns, will my system be bottlenecking it?

1gb hynix DDR400 @ 230 (460)
foxconn k8MA-RS
hiper 480W (will this be able to power the card!! important!!)
300gb maxtor

Also any comments on this card? is it good for value, etc?

cheers :D

7800 GT will run great on the 3700+, might only be a very slight bottleneck, but it will run great, if its only going to work out at £130 then its definately worthwhile, you'll get an absolute huge boost in performance going from an x700. :)

Im running a 512mb x1800 XT on a 3500+, and i still get awesome performance, even though it is bottlenecked. :)

Your PSU will be fine for the graphics card(if memory serves the 7800series actually uses less power than the 6800series), LoadsaMoney has summed it up pretty well, it will be slightly bottlenecked but the performance boost is well worth it.

ok cool, just read from another forum, they think i should wait a bit for the 7900 to come out, that should push the price down a little.... is this true? and how long do i ahve to wait?

According to Gibbo the prices of Nvidias current cards (7800 series) will not come down when the 7900 is released.

But then he said the X1800XT's wouldnt come down in price and they can now be had for as little as ~£250
