hey guys

moving my water block from my 2011 socket build to my 2011v3 build.

Will i need to buy an adapter plate or will it just be plug and go on the new board?

Cheers!

hey guys, just got my board and i cant see any possible way to mount the water block...

here are a couple of pics, on the RIVE the screws went in the underside of the board and through these holes, but these holes and blanked off

I assume i need some sort of special screw that goes in the top side, but what would it be and how can i get it

Well there doesn't look like there are any traces going through the holes, you could try drilling through them, at your own risk

im not going to drill out a new motherboard...there must be another way...

looking at it, all i need are M4 screws that dont have a head to them, just not sure what they would be called or where to get them

OP, Put the nut on the screw first and tighten it up to around the screw head, then put a washer, spring, then another washer. Place the block over the CPU socket, and screw all 4 screws in from the front. You'll then be able to tighten the nuts as you would have previously to hold the block down.

like so?

Another quick one not totally related.

I have the radiator fans and the case fan wired together to 1 3pin plug.

On my RIVE board i plugged this into the CPU fan socket and it powered all 3 fans just fine.

Doing the same on this board I cant get even 1 fan to spin? any ideas why / solutions? currently running water with no fan cooling!

haha cheers guys, on closer inspection the plug wasnt fully mounted so pushing it down a little more caused them to spring into life, all seems good and the PC is up and running, all help is appreciated!
