my dad wants a laptop, but wants it to be fast
when he says fast, all he means is that when you click on a webpage etc it will open instantly, will never be used for any kind of audio/video/image processing

Im just makign sure ANY laptop nowadays is gonna be 'fast'

is it worth upgrading any of the components included with the inspirion 15...base spec is dual core 2ghz 800mhz bus 1mb cache, 3gb ram

the only thing i am a bit wary of is the built in graphics, might it be worth upgrading to the ati hd4330 ? even though, as I say, it's only going to be used for web browsing really

also...do dells not have built in wireless ? (inspirion)

thats what i'm thinking.... people he knows with 4yr old laptops that have loads of crap on them, that take ages to load have put the idea in his head that he needs to spend a decent amount to get somehting that isn't slow! and I was doubting my own thoughts about what was needed, so thought I'd check.....

one thing about the dell inspirons...in the options, you can choose different WIFI 'cards', are these cards that are hidden behind a cover, or maybe even inside the machine, as I thought they would all have WIFI built in ?
