Will a E8400 work with my GA-P35-DS3P 1.1 default BIOS?

I've picked up a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P revision 1.1 for £60 (which I'm quite chuffed about). Will it boot a E8400 out of the box or do I need to find an older CPU first and flash the BIOS?

CPU will be here on Tuesday. Damned postal break!!!

From the link below you will need the F9 Bios or above.

Thanks but I knew that. What I meant will it boot so I can flash the BIOS to one that supports it

Yes it will run it I have the same wolfdale E8400 on it with F7 bios ran out of the box no probs

Great! I will try it tomorrow when my CPU arrives. But I have a bad feeling - the only thing that is also missing is my TRUE and I guess it's not shipped yet (it's out of stock except 1 place).

It's alive!

Booted up no problem. BIOS shipped was F9!! I immediately flashed to F10 anyway from a USB flash drive before installing Windows.

I have to take it all apart again when the TRUE comes back in stock
