Will a Enermax Galaxy 1000w fit

Not in a million years without modding. The galaxy is just way too long. Something like 220mm which is wider then some cases.

Also, the crappy 680i chipset runs so hot you wouldn't be doing yourself any favours putting that board into a v1000 as it would be inverted and so the heatpipes would not cool as effectively.

thanks for that info,

I've got it all in a lian li 65(very tight)

What case would you peeps recommend,as there's so many and im not to clue'd up on them.

Just looked at it, does the clear window side come with it or is it optional.

Also is it a full tower case,as i kinda did not want full tower

Yes, the side panel is optional - OcUK sell them for about £15, but they don't have any at the moment.

The case is not as tall as a full tower either. Can't remember the exact height, but it's quite a bit shorter than my current full tower case. It is wider than 'normal' though if that is an issue for you. Check out the case on the Akasa web site if you are concerned just to be on the safe side.

If you don't mind the look of it, the Akasa is considered one of the best cases around for cooling too, and has the optional sidepanel for cooling your gpu which comes with a very quiet fan. Also over it's extra width there is plenty of space to hide those extra/slack psu cables - either down either side of the psu or optical drive. The only minus is the plastic front.

2nd that, front panel is one of the better ones I've had for cooling vents :D

I tell ya if someone made an aluminium front for the eclipse they would be on a winner. I rushed out and bought the Mirage just thinking that after reading that bloody review on CustomPC...grrrr.

How come know one has made it in aluminium though ? Can it be that hard. I seem to remember seeing a site a couple of years ago where someone actually did it.

This is the ONLY reason whatsoever I started looking at alternatives lately and they all fell short someway. Didn't like the Lian Li A10 over the bloody top fan blocking tower coolers like the Tuniq. Still mulling over whether I will get the TJ09 or watercool the Mirage.

My 850 galaxy (same size as 1000) fits fine in a V1000B+. I took out the PSU wall and a drive cage :)

So aslong as you can remove those things I reckon you should be fine as yours is longer than my case anyway :)

Just seen the Akasa Mirage 62 Aluminium Case,im right in thinking this will take a galaxy 1000.
Gets good reviews.

It won't not correctly.
It will fit ok, but the psu cage on the Mirage/Eclipse is enclosed and it blocks over 40% of the Enermax's oversized 140mm fan.

Very nice case, The review clams its big but does not say its a full tower, what do you think,I wonder if its between mid and full.
