im late posting this as i saw it yesterday, so the one ive seen probably gone or will be gone(was in devon which im no longer there now) on gum for £50, thought it was a good price since i keep seeing them for 30-40 quid more, but i want to still know the answer anyways.

i have a displayport to hdmi cable now, so when i get round to it i will be removing my gt 610, but will likely replace it with a gt 1030, but as my power supply is only 240w regardless it being 80 plus bronze, will the extra increase of the quad be a problem? im thinking that i wont ever get rid of this lenovo for a fair while unless it fails and i could put the i3 aside as a spare or for another build at a later time.

Thanks for replies.

It’s a liteon 80 plus bronze which says 12v1 - 12a 12v2(cpu) - 16a with a combined of 230w

Because it’s a Lenovo board the gpu slot rate is 40w, so I can’t do better than a 1030 anyways.

however I recently got a 1155 bundle instead so my gt 610 is in with that for now, so I may or may not bother with the 1030 for the Lenovo unless I find one under £50 and just get the quad.

thanks for the reply.

liteon are not that bad, had few before that were fine even using a gtx 750, this is my first that has a bronze rating, but its not really an option to change it because it doesnt have the full 24 pin mobo power socket as i was going to put the board in my cube, so as its all original pretty much, i plan to keep it that way.

the dual rail setup is a bit strange as ive never seen one that says (cpu), but if i remember from the support sheet, there were a couple non K i7's listed so maybe thats why as they are over 130w are they not? which has got me thinking, having the 2nd system, i might save up a bit more and get an i7 for my lenovo instead, dont plan to use it to game anymore, but it is my main computer, so rather have it improved still.
