Will a new monitor make a worthwhile difference?

I'm currently using an old 17" Dell TFT monitor with my Titan Sabre. I haven't upgraded yet due to trying to save up some money for a house deposit but now I'm beginning to feel like it's time to upgrade.

Will it make enough of a difference to be worth upgrading? My budget would be about £150.

I also have a widescreen 23" Philips 23PF8946 Flat Panel HD-Ready LCD TV doing nothing at the moment, would that be a viable monitor?

Even for that budget you will be able to get a monitor that is much better than what you currently have. The TV's resolution is only 1280x768 which is too low for a 23" monitor. It would certainly be a worthwhile upgrade for you.

A monitor probably makes the MOST difference tbh, best upgrade I ever did was to a 24" widescreen many yrs ago!

great bit of kit and you cant get anythign near it for the price
