Will a ram upgrade require a win 10 reinstall?

As title. I'm upgrading my laptop to 16gb from 8gb. Will this require an os reinstall?

Just be aware that you will lose hard drive space, for hibernation file and paging file.

No it will not. Win 10 seems to be pretty tolerant actually, in that you can change a lot without it really caring.

Just make sure you back up your old ram first

Joking aside, I don't think there's ever been a need to reinstall the OS for a RAM upgrade. You'll be fine.

Be fine, during some diagnosis I booted my Nana's ssd in my PC as a boot drive, her system is ddr2 with a q8400, mines a 6600k with DDR4.
