As above really - I'm ordering a bundle from OCUK, which includes motherboard, CPU and RAM. Do I need to order a seperate heatsink and fan or will it be included?

Retail CPUs come with heatsinks.

It's the OEM ones that don't.

I think most everyone here knows that, along with longer warranties. Hes just wanting to find out if this holds true for bundled kits from ocuk.

retail sinks are okay if your running at stock, if your planning on overclocking then you might as well get another cooler

To be honest, even running at stock id get a decent cooler. I dropped over 10 degrees at stock going from the stock cooler to an AC7 Pro.

If you're running at stock there's no need to get another cooler, unless you're after silent running.

If heats an actual problem, it's not the cooler that's the problem.

The stock intel HSF atm isn't that bad, there have been a lot worse.

The retail will also come with a 3 year warrenty, which most people think is worth it just for a few extra quid
