Will a Revo be better

I was going to buy an Airport Express to latch up to a laptop and AVR so that I could stream Spotify in my lounge.
Would I be able to achieve the same result if I was to buy say a Revo instead. That way I would also be able to surf the net from my settee too. Would the optical output give me a good sound reproduction or would I be better buying an external sound card. I know there is the obvious extra expense but it would save me having to latch up my laptop every time plus all the other benefits.
What do you think plus any advice / tips. Thanks

Can I ask perhaps a simpler question. If I use the Revo for playing Spotify and want to feed the audio to my AVR. Will I get quality audio either from HDMI, Optical cable or would it be best from analogue mini jack. Or would none of these offer quality stereo SQ.
