Would there be any harm in using a sump plug washer for an MR2 Turbo on a BMW 323?

I wouldn't think there would be any harm to do so because all sump plugs are about the same dimensions but I want to make sure first.

Ta.

As long as the dimensions are correct then a sump plug washer is a sump plug washer. Normal washers might not be ok, I'm pretty sure that sump plug washers have some compression in them? I suppose it depends on the material they are made of.

Make sure you use a new one though, nothing worse than a leaking sump plug washer after you've spent a load on oil.

They are copper washers that only work a couple of times max so for a quick fix it might be ok but if i were you i would get some new copper washers.

Good point above, they are pennies! Even my Ducati with its notorious parts cost is only 96p for one. Surely BMW don't charge that much?

Go to a local motor factors. They'll charge 50p tops providing they have your size in stock.

LOL, 'GO ORIGINAL BMW ***!!!' its a copper washer ffs, dear god...as long as its a good fit on the plug...
:D

It's not a copper washer its a nylon one IIRC which compresses to form a seal.

And the copper crush washer hosts a party, gets drunk and lets all the oil out...get a life Fox...
