Hi,

I recently purchased a Zalman 7700 Cu cooler. I have an Asus A8N-SLI motherboard which i know is fine for the cooler to be installed on. But i'm worried that it will not fit into a Super Lanboy case.

What i mean is, i'm worried that the cooler is so large, it will hang over the side of the motherboard. And then it might not fit into a Lanboy case because of the PSU?

I've found a picture of an Asus board (not an A8N-SLI) that shows the problem i'm worried about is shown here - 3rd picture down.

Anyone got the same combo of Lanboy, A8N-SLI and Zalman 7700?

Thanks for looking :)

Your link is not working.

How far will the overhang be?
I'm edited the link. On this mobo there looks to be a good few cm's overhang.

I'm not sure there will be an overhang with the A8N-SLI. I'm just trying to see if by chance anyone else has a similar setup.

Cos i've just purchased the cooler very recently i haven't had a chance to strip my machine and fit it.

I'm currently using a Chieftec Dragon case and there is a gap between the motherboard and my PSU in this case.

But i want a smaller case, and want the Lanboy, but now wondering if i'll have to replace the cooler :(

If you are running a dragon with the HSF being able to fit then I think the Lanboy will be fine aswell.

Just try it, worse that could happen is you have to sell the HSF and get a new one, but I think it will fit fine looking at it from web pictures.

Take it you have tried a google for your heatsink in the Lanboy?
Yeah, had a look and couldn't spot anything. Then again, i'm lagging abit now at this time :)

Hell, i might as well get a lanboy and try it. Haven't spent much (apart from the zalman) in a while.

Thanks :)
