Will an i5 or i7 bottleneck my system?

I have 2 6970s in cross fire for my new build.

I was waiting for Bulldozer to come out but it seems this may be now not happening until June given no info at Cebit?

If I bought a i5 or i7 and clocked it up to 4Ghz + would my graphics cards be cpu limited? Would I be better off waiting for Bulldozer/or intel z series motherboards?

I'm currently still on dual core and I'm itchy to upgrade

I am almost certain that either i5 or i7 would not come near to bottlenecking your system for games.

Nope. Anything quad core would be more than enough.
