I have just seen that the new GTS is out soon, maybe early December. I have ordered a GT from overclockers but now I am not sure if I should wait...

My current spec is
X2 @3ghz and 2 gig of ram

With my water cooling I hope the 8800 GT will do 700 mhz so will this run crysis with the options turned up but not much aa and af?

Any thoughts?

Yeah I know but that says available 29th and many others are 23rd!! all "allegedly" of course.

Says due 23/11 and Gibbo says:

"HI there

An update:-
50x Gainward arriving tomorrow!
***40x Zotac AMP arriving Friday!***
500x BFG OC arriving Monday/Tuesday
400x BFG OC2 arriving Monday/Tuesday
20-100x EVGA anyday, but not confirmed, EVGA very unreliable.
20x Gigabyte tomorrow, 40x more next week!
60x Asus arriving possibly this week or next week!
100x PNY due Friday/Monday
1000x OcUK due by end of next week! (800 pre-sold!!!)"

Am halfway through crysis on my 8800 gts 640mb all high inc shadows etc and 1680-1050 plays fine isn't really a moment yet where it's chugged.
So the gt is even better so the answer is yes.

Mine runs fine on all high with no AA even when it's at stock clocks.

If you're looking for a card that'll run in all very high then you need a time machine. :D

No, My card is faster and I cant play it well at 1600x1200 with Very High or even High with any AA.

I mean not get under 30FPS all times.

Makes no difference if I underclock my GPU or overclock it as the CPU is not being used properly (some claims theirs does) but its public knowledge now the game that was supposed to be CPU Dependant aint using Cores fully.

Read Crysis Forums thread for info as I cant be bothered with this game for now, there is better like CoD4 and patches are due in under 14days now.

Let them fix the game, spending more on hardware wont fix it, and you wont be getting 60FPS anytime soon.

I have like 6 good new games to complete, I wont be playing Crysis till at least FEB 2008 when Vista SP1 is final (Im testing RC1 now) and Crysis has had a few patches and Nvidia release a few new drivers (they both said they would in a dual interview few days ago).

I may even have new hardware by then depending whats out.
