Will Athlon 5350 decrease the bottleneck?

been installing games over the last few days since i renewed my origin access and so ive been making some recordings to sort out to make a mini series on my youtube channel and while it was obvious my sempron would be a huge bottleneck it has been holding up surprisingly well, so far from a few games ive tested, batman origin is the only game thats been a bit worse off with slow loadings between stages with BFHL being a close 2nd for certain scenes in the story dropping below 10fps, but most the time the count has been cycling between 20-60fps, i get over 20fps during fight scenes in BM Origin and thats with default settings(enhanced dx11 options crash the game) and hardline is on high or highest, im using afterburner display now and at the same time i have more games downloading in the background.

my gpu usage goes up to 60 odd percent depending on the game as a maximum, without looking at my videos i cant remember exact figures, but not all games have used 100% cpu usage, in fact it doesnt stay at 100 for long, neither game has used more than 2gb vram and only certain ones have used more than 5gb memory.

actually im wrong, The forest is the worse overall game ive tested, batman origin and batman arkham asylum both ironically share similar performance.

anyways rambling aside, once im finished with my testings im thinking maybe try the top end athlon, but as per title, would this being an athlon and faster reduce the bottleneck or is it simply an AM1 plague?

thanks for reply.

i figured it be better as generally athlons were always better than semprons, but given the design of this athlon for this platform i wasnt sure just how big a difference it made and 50+ percent is a big boost which is good, i assume i would need this athlon and not the slower version or wouldnt it matter? i mentioned the 5350 for being 2ghz.

i am intrigued and amused by the sempron setup which is why im still carrying it on despite its age lol, ive always liked the underdog persona, i will likely be keeping it when i get a better system, just with a weaker gpu, so for now i am trying to have fun with it, finding a cheap improvement itx bundle is problematic, so slowed down with more purchases, but this will carry on being my fun system, so might aswell improve it a bit over time.

I get that, there is something quite satisfying about running a rat rig and making it work, somehow its just more fun than owning the latest and greatest.

Anyway i think Sempron and Athlon in this case they are actually the same CPU, they just use different naming conventions to denote lower and higher end when really the only difference is clock speed.
They are both based on the same architecture so any AM1 CPU you can get that is also a quad core and has the highest clock speed would be best.

ah okay good to know, i will have to do a proper search as i was hoping to get it from the zon like my sempron, but some confusion with price lol.

i did look up whether these could be overclocked, but next to no am1 coolers and these dont overclock anyways, i would need the dual core version for that even if the overclock in minor, it sucks because i quite enjoyed getting a single core sempron from 1.8 - 2.2 years ago, but i suppose it would go against its low powered nature.
