cheers to anyone taking the time to apply

Not for crossfire unfortunately, which is ashame as it's a decent PSU you have. I'd be looking at a 850w PSU minimum.

You should be ok - what is the system spec?

i54970k - oc to 4ghz (haven't increased voltage yet)
maximus hero IV
H100i
8gb 1660 ram
samsung 840 pro 128
1 tb WD black
CD/RW drive

And I know im going to get a lot of flac for this but the keyboard mouse and headset I have are all Razer products.

I done a wattage calculator and it said I should have about 80-watts spare. Is that too close for comfort?

thanks

Thanks all for your replies.

I Weren't expecting this much help. you sir are a legend.

:)

The XFX and the Antec are made by Seasonic.

Some are semi modular while others are fully modular and gold or bronze rated.

850W is what I use to recommend in the past for a pair of 290s in Crossfire with that sort of CPU and overclock, wattage calculators tend to be a bit "off".

I'm running a pair of XFX DD R9 290X's ( stock ) with a 4690k @ 4.2, on 1.2v, and have seen a peak pull of about 730w, I went with a 1000w just for headroom, and for the whole efficiency curve thing.
