Obviously many mods for BF1942, bf vientam and bf2.

But BFBC2 was unable to be modded for reasons I am not sure off? frostbite engine? NO idea? Im not a pc whizz/geek lol no offense. I just dont know maybe you do?

So you thin they will be able to mod bf3?
Liek forgotten hope, desert combat, eve of destruction etc...or not?

Hmm this is interesting

Mods can be created for Crysis 2 with Cry Engine 3 and that engine although different is on the same level as frostbite 2, in terms of power I should say.

So it is strange that BF3 won't be mod compatible or mods can't be created for it.

developers can't be arsed making mod tools and don't want to release the dev tools i think.

I think this may well be the most plausible reason.

It is interesting to note that Crytek already released Crysis2 SDK and now will be releasing full CryEngine 3 next month for free bar the commercialization. So average joe can fully use CE3 to make any kind of mods:cool:

Imagine if we could have Frostbite2.0 aswell

They want to sell you DLC. They can't sell you DLC if someone can just make it as a mod for free now can they? Also mods hugely increase the lifespan of a game and so you are less likely to fork out for MoH2 next year or BF4 the year after.

they don't have to do anything :P

it keeps the system locked down, makes you pay to play what they bring out, not what someone else is doing for free.

didnt they say no mod support? cus the engine was too complex they didn't think people had a hope in hell.

Not having a go at you Psypher5, but this statement by dice made me:rolleyes:

Give the engine to the likes of Geohotz etc lol and we can see some astonishing results.

Of all the clever people in the world only Dice engineers can handle frostbite 2:rolleyes:

Give Frostbite 2 to the best modders around the world and they will overwhelm even dice engineers with what they can come up with;) and put dice engineers/designers to shame:mad:
