Will BF3 be on consoles?

Nah, because the consoles aren't equipped to handle PC Battlefields properly. BF3 is supposed to be 60 player with larger areas. They couldn't do PC BF2 (and released a heavily butchered iteration of it instead) on consoles and I doubt BF3 will come along. Bad Company is probably the answer to it.

That's what I'm thinking.

I plan to upgrade my PC when it comes out, hopefully I'll have a decent finance behind me and splash ~£1,500-£2,000 on my PC for it. I hope they add achievements to it, Battlefield is perfect for them.

Well all the medals and ranks are pretty much the same as achievements, tbh i prefered the awards in bf2 to the achievements system.

You won't need that much for Battlefield 3...for a brand new PC with Quad Core + 8800GTX probably looking at around £650 and I'd have thought that'll run it good, never know though.

The only thing Battlefield 3 might need is more GPU power, current processors and ram will last for a while yet, had my E6300 and ram since Dec 2006, I think it'll be time for an upgrade in mid-late 2009. :D

Also no BF3 won't be on consoles, PC is going to have 128 players I read, Bad Company will be on consoles, doesn't look amazing though, didn't seem like the Battlefield games on PC from videos.

If not I will have to upgrade my comp :(

Seriously doubt it, it just wouldnt work - for example battlefield 2 had massive lists of squad commands and commander screens which there just isnt room to map to any buttons on a controller.

The idea by Nokkon about achievements for it would be awesome, it would have to be games for windows live however, and not many of those games are successful (halo 2 pc, gears of war pc etc)

Is there actually much info about BF3? I recently upgraded my GFX card to a 3870 and Im hoping its enough :p
