This Rig was not for gaming but work related and light entertainment purposes.

I recently re-played Half Life 2 for the first time again since 2007, on this rig. I ran it on the highest settings and it played flawlessly.

Given this little detail and the specs above, I want to know if my machine will be able to run Resident Evil 2 HD or not.

Calling on all Seasoned hardcore Hardware Modders, Gamers, experts alike - please tell me if this rig can play that game, as on systemrequirements can i run it it mentioned my machine over eceeded in all departments but my graphics card drivers were outdated ??

im happy to purchase the game for £3.49 on steam IF my machine can run the game.

Please somebody get back to me ASAP on this. Thanks.

Thank you for your prompt reply thedandyp, 720p is pretty much standard and should be sufficient for my needs yes ? The game will still play and look great on my rig yes ?

Thanks Joxeon, by GPU are you referring to an actual gfx card here or a processor that I could attach onto an existing gfx motherboard ? I don't think my lenovo will have a spare slot to add a card thats the thing..im not 100% sure though.

I've lost touch completely with pc gaming hardware and the last thing I touched in terms of installing hardware was back in 2005 when i installed a Nvidia Geforce 5600 256MB Videocard AGP Chipset into my Sony PCV-RS123 Vaio desktop lol

I'm pretty ancient and prehistoric by todays standards though I did invest in a PS3 back in 2013 ( arrived at the party very late I know..) but then solid it in 2015. Wish I hadn't.

Do you know what model it is?

Other than the specs retrieved from systemrequirementslab, i don't know any more. Its on baord gfx. Intel(R) HD Graphics

thedandyp pointed me in the right direction, ive youtubed up some vids showing what games work well using my setup.

ive seen what RE4 HD looks like using HD 2500 and its passable.
