Hi,

I am changing motherboards from a Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H to a Z77 Asus V Gene.

I have Win8 installed on a 128GB SSD will changing boards wipe the disk? If not will there be issues where the gigabyte motherboard drivers clash with the new board like the sata, network and usb drivers?

You'll probably find that it is mostly fine.

You are switching between two motherboards based on the same chipset (Z77), so the differences should be small.

It'll be mainly network and sound drivers that will need changing.

I'd suggest at least removing drivers(any related to the current board) and reinstalling them after the new motherboard is in, audio / ethernet drivers might differ between the boards, etc..

Will take you what? All of about 5 minutes to reinstall them.
