Will concrete screws hold in mortar?

I'm planning out a garage conversion into a workshop at the moment, and debating the best way to fix the timber studwork to the wall.

I could go down the rawlplug and screw route. Frame fixings (nylon type). Concrete screws.

I think concrete screws are the way to go, but I'm not sure if they will grip in mortar or if it would be too soft? I only want to do the job once!

Cheers.

Concrete screws aka Tapcons only get a GOOD fixing in solid blocks/bricks
If you need to fix into the mortar use plugs and screws(and ideally fix into the block/brick)
My opinion.... use plugs and screws.Tapcons are great for fixing upvc frames though :)

I'd plug and screw to the block/brickwork more work but you will get a better end result and like you say you only want to do this once!
