Will cooler fit in this mobo?

Am going to buy Asus P5K Deluxe Wi-Fi Ap. will a Zalman CNPS9700 NT fit in it and will it work as the cooler is for nforce chipsets? :eek:

If the mobo has all that heatpipe stuff on the chipset, the I think you will have a problem. An Asus Silent Knight only just clears the copperwork, as does a TT120 (and that requires you to put it on before you put the board in the case, and connect some stuff up first too, it's hard going), and that Zalman cooler SEEMS to have fins coming a lot lower down that either of the two I've worked with.

a friend managed to fit a tuniq tower in it is the tuniq tower higher or lower than the zalman

From the pics, the Zalman is lower and has less clearance, and as your mate probably found the Tuniq is touch and go to get in there.
BUt, having not handled the Zalman, it may be that it's just the way the pic looks, but it does look like it'll catch on the copper fins on the rearward side of the cpu socket, and if it doesn't actually foul them, it will leave so little clearance as to be no fun at all to install. Damn fine looking cooler though.
