Will DX12 Lift an FX8350 past a 4690k?

Just wondering

I bought a 4690k to replace the FX8350 in my 2nd machine but now I am not so sure

I love AMD and would rather stick with them but the games I usually play such as World of Warcraft, Eve Online & the upcoming Total War Warhammer tend to deliver better on Intel variants

Do you think that DX12 will help in these games

I was hoping my FX CPU's would last until Zen but unless DX12 lifts performance then it will be a long 18 months

Even if all 8 cores on the CPU can be utilized against the 4 on the i5?

Why is everyone all doom & gloom for AMD?
