It's not a Pentium D though. It's a cut down 45nm Wolfdale core. According to the cpu support list no it will not take one. If that list is correct then the cpu compatibility of that board is pathetic. You would hope that Abit just can't be bothered to keep it up to date and that it will take one.

Should work fine. That board takes the E7x00 series and also accepts the Yorkfields. It will no doubt work but may not be recognised properly until a BIOS comes out to update the microcode.

IX38 QuadGT and yorkfield Q9450 here. Works fine, so the E5200 should be ok.

i saw there was a beta 16 bios for it the might have the microcode
