will extra ram affect overclock

hi all
can any one tell me if going from 4 to 8 gig of ram will affect the overclock i have on my e8600 cpu.its running at 4ghz at the moment and ive seen 2x2 gig of the same ram as i have in the clearance section and its a great price.can i just pop it and and leave every thing the same or will i need to change anything.the motherboard is asus formula rampage.many thanks and enjoy the weekend...

You might need to bump the nb voltage up 0.1v or loosen the timings on the RAM slightly but I would imagine that it should work, ive never had any stability problems going from 4-8Gb. Though theoretically there is more load on the mobo doing so, best thing to do is give it a try I would say, thats a great mobo so im sure it will handle it.
