I already bought the RAM (Patriot Viper Steel 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16, PVS416G320C6K) for an AMD build, which isn't happening right now as I can't get the CPU.

Can I use it in a different build on a ASRock H410M-HDV/M.2 motherboard?

The ASRock website says "Supports DDR4 2933 / 2800 / 2666 / 2400 / 2133 non-ECC, un-buffered memory*"

And the memory list doesn't feature this model PVS416G320C6K.

[Edit: alternative motherboard: MSI B460M-A PRO, https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B460M-A-PRO]

It works, it just won't go higher than stock for the CPU, which can actually be lower than the board specifies (Z boards are different).

It will gimp it down to the stock setting of the ram. If you 3200MHz ram stock setting is 2333Mhz that’s what it will run at. Not 2666MHz.
