Will FF7 EVER be re-released for ps3?

As per title, what are you views on this? Has anyone got any insider information about a possible release date? I have heard that it MAY be announced after the release of FFXIII. Although i'm not too sure. I Know this question has been asked many times so dont get angry with me :( :p

I have only just got round to watching the tech demo of it (i know im two years late lol) and its got me all excited thinking about a re-release. I've read there is also something at the end of Crisis core that indicates something. But i wont give any spoilers away.
 
I really hope so, I'd like a decent FF to play again seeing as they have utterly ruined the battle system on the new ones.
 
theres been talks for years, no idea if they will or not. personally i think ff7 is the best game I have ever played, yet Sony need to let the ff7 idea die and move on.....make a new FF that is good (i finished ff10, 11 was crap and 12 was wierd). They need to stop grabbing onto old classics trying to make more money (like me see in the film industry - rambo/terminator etc)
 
It is rumoured but that is only because of the tech demo, i don't think there is any solid evidence that it will be done but it would make a hell of a lot of cash if done right so square would be daft not to

Not really, it just says to be continued in FFVII which it is. I suppose they could have left the "to be" out.

Maybe they'll re-release it on PSP?
 
There's far more chance that if it does appear it will be on a non Sony platform.

My guess would be the DS or Wii.

It's miles better than the godawful system in 12. It's sort of a horrible cross of action and RPG.
 
I think FXIII looks good so I'd rather see them make a new game with (possibly) a new battle system than remake FF7. I guess it makes more sense to have a female lead instead of a male who looks female :p

I can see them making it after FXIII and FXIII Versus as the engine will be fully developed and the demand is there.
 
Square Enix would be fools to themselves if they didn't remake it. Best game ever to me no doubts about that.
 
If I was Sony I'd be getting this well under way for the PS4 as a launch game.
Sony have such bad track record of launch titles they should be working on the PS4 ones now!

Final Fantasy VII would be immense and would sell so many PS4's!

Because 1,2 where remake for the gameboy and 3 has been remake for the DS and 4,5 and 6 are getting remake for the DS as we type.


Also they have make the DS there main platform for the next dragon quest game they will go where the money is.
 
Sony need to start chucking some money at JRPG's dev's because they will all be making 360 titles soon.

I actually think FFVII would make a perfect PSP game, just use the Crisis Core engine.
