Will Gsync monitors work with amd gpus??

Hi all
Atm I have a predator 144hz Gsync monitor. With my preferred 3080 not expected to arrive until jan next year if big navi matches the specs of the 3080 does anyone have any experience running amd gpus on a gsync monitor??

Just wondered if there might be any issues at all like screen tearing say or any glitchs that could happen?

Its the preadator x27 from 2 years ago I have so I am guessing it has the gsync hdr module.

Am I right in thinking gsync works at its best when fps is under 60?

If so and big navi is actually a competitior to the 3080 may be gsync won't matter .
