Will I be able to use a disused sky cable for my freeview?

Basically I'm using a Freeview USB stick on my iMac to receive freeview channels.

Now the old cable I have in this room is poor, and is struggling to receive the channels, I *did* have a second Sky box in here when I had it, but now I disconnected it.

The cable is still here, so even though its to do with Sky, will the dish help me pick up the Freeview?

Sky uses normal coax, so you could rewire the other end onto an aerial.

But as standard, no, its connected to a dish.
