Hello guys.
I'm planning on buying
Asus GeForce GTX DirectCU II
, but my PSU has only 400W of power and according to nvidia, GTX 580 needs 600W, on the other hand in the description of Asus' i can read that
Lower power consumption compared to GTX 480, only 244 watts
.

I'm confused, i don't know whether i need new PSU or i can run that card with my current one, it would be nice if i had my answer today.

Cheers!

Its
FSP GROUP INC.
FORTRON/SOURCE
Model no. FSP400-40EMDN

I dont think that google will even know about existence such PSU

My pc is a Medion something that i got almost 2 years ago, i upgraded it to 6GDDR2 ram and 9800gt since card that was in there burnt. So new PSU is a must have, any ideas for a good one for around 100 euro?

My system in more details:

The CPU is not overclocked at all, i'm not that advanced hardware guy, pretty much, i'm a gamer and i'm not quite sure how to do it, besides, i guess i have basic CPU Fan set.

About the PSU, what about this one, Corsair TX 750W ATX?

Also, i feel ashamed showing my pc and all that when its not overclocked or anything, i feel like i'm dumb...

The way i'm planning to do this is to get that gtx580 with new PSU, roll with it on my current set up for some time while i get money for MOBO and CPU upgrades, i'm NOT going to stick to that pc, for now its just a temporary thing untill i get better stuff. I'm an university student so the cash gets short for me quite often so i have to take everything bit slower.

+1, you be bottlenecked by the CPU. Get a 460 instead and buy this PSU: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-042-BQ&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1083

If you want to have a more future proof PSU that can handle cards like the 580 then this one: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-003-XF&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=

EDIT: Just saw your reply, then if that's the case, go for it :p. How is the airflow within the case though? You want to make sure the 580 is getting enough air.

The one you showed is actually cheaper, even better! So if it is as i say, i can go for it with green light? I'm basicly building PC for Battlefield 3 <3! I want DICE love at it's best.

Hm, i'm sorry for being so stuck to that case, but im looking for every possible option, size of my current PSU is around 140mm Lenght, 86mm Heigh and 147mm Wide, brings any ideas?

Well, XFX Cire Edition is slighly bigger than my current one, 170mm x 150mm x 86mm (L x W x H), but since i don't give a crap about my current case, nor the noise since i'm on headset, perhaps i could cut the case to fit it in?
