Apart from the lower advertised ratings, 3.5GB vram and not 4GB Vram, you'll be fine. I have a 4.7 i5 2500k :)

Not happy with other issues though, so getting a 980 GTX instead
 
No do it now!

Should be able to wack the multiplier upto x40 to get 4ghz without any other changes.

How simple is that !
 
My 970 and 4690k work flawlessly together, good combination.

But yes research the 970 before purchasing.
 
I'd need a new cooler first, still got stock in my case. Although a new one is on the horizon. Probably an AIO water cooler.
 
4.0 is fine on any of my CPUs for gaming if my GPUs can not get 60fps there is probably something wrong with the game.

People place too much emphasis on CPU overclocks.:)

For SLI or CF an i7 does help on some games though.:)
