Will i get a bottleneck.

Hi
My system is running an i5 3570k@4ghz + 16 gig samsung green ram+ XFX 650 gold PSU.
im thinking of upgrading my gpu to a MSI Radeon R9 390X Gaming Edition, and while im at it upgrading my monitor to a freesync 2560x1440 monitor.
Like my title says, will i get bottlenecks. If not will the PSU be powerful enough for gaming at said res.

Hi,

As for bottlenecks, no, I don't think you will get any. I am using a i5-3450 @ 3.5GHz with a 980Ti and I haven't really experienced any in games so far.

As for the PSU, I believe 650W is enough for a 390X but I'd say it's verging on not being enough, general reports say it should be just about fine though. Up to you if you wish to upgrade!

At that res the limitation should be with the graphic card not the CPU, with the exception of some extremely CPU demanding games such as mmos and RTS.

Should all be fine, no bottleneck, especially at 1440, psu is xfx so likely seasonic oem too

Thanks for input guys. picked up a Msi r390x today really nice card it should do me for awhile. It has really good idle temps 36c and the fans arn't even spinning.
Now should i get that freesync 144htz monitor.
