Will i get a popping noise if i add x-fi on my mobo?

Hey guys, i'm thinking of getting the X-fi xtreme music sound card to replace my Creative Live! 24bit onboard sound, but i have heard of the notorious popping noise running x-fi soundcards on nforce4 motherboards.

My question is should i still buy a x-fi soundcard regardless of the popping sound as i have an nforce4 motherboard,or should i just buy a creative audigy soundcard?

popping got fixed yonks ago, upgrade mobo firmware, and newer revised cards were released.

no they havent..... MANY MANY thousands of ppl suffer from popping and crackling noises from XFI..... even with latest revisions and BIOS etc..... im one of them
