hi im looking to upgrade my 465 gtx to a 570 or580 gtx depending on how the missus takes it :D and was wondering if i would get bottlenecked with my current set up

im running a icore3 530 which is o/c to 4.2,gigabyte h55m-ud2h,8 gig of corsair xms3 and a 600watt (cx or tx ) corsair psu,

i do plan to upgrade all my pc in the near future but wanted a new card first

cheers ;)

Running HT helps in some games I've noticed. I had that CPU for a couple of months and donated it to my mother. I wasn't impressed with the performance in BFBC2 and turned on HT for a night and day change. From slightly jerky to eye candy :). Also I think I seen a 10+ FPS gain in Crysis 1 using HT so for the most of it I'd say yes but to be fair I did not play a massive range of games. I don't see a massive difference with that CPU and my i7 but I've not tried Crysis or BFBC2 since then, or many other titles to be honest. Yeah I need to get back to gaming other than just BF3 and MW3 :D.

Edit: This was an unlocked 6950 shaders only @ 950/1500, now use 900-950 - 1400-1450. Can run at old speeds but I don't really need to push it plus I'd have to add more volts.
