I've asked a very similar question before, but after watching a tiny Tom Logan video I think I misunderstood. I can't find my post either which is annoying.

will a slim (30mm thick) 240mm rad + a full (60mm think) 240mm rad be enough to cool my 2500K + HD6990 on gentle typhoons (not push-pull) on low speed settings?

I plan to throw the kit into a CM Storm Stryker, but noise is of concern.
 
Will you be over clocking?
Got one 240 cooling my loop in my sig, thinking of adding a 360 to it tho as the temps creep up at times but don't cause me any trouble, this could change when summer finally arrives!
 
I hope so. I'll be doing big enough OCing. I'm at 4.8Ghz on the 2500K, and may go higher, and will try to OC the 6990 above 900Mhz. I'm at 880 now.
 
TTL mentioned that the above set up would be good to cool a 2700K and a gtx570. there isn't much heat difference between a 2700 and a 2500 though.
