I have a Corsair HX650w power supply at the moment and im wondering if I will have enought power with this to comfortably add a second 5850 card to my current build maybe overclock it slightly. As a stop gap for a while till the next gen of cards comes out.

I currently have a i7 920 running 4ghz a standard 5850, 2 HHD's, Optical rom, 4x120mm fans, h50 corsair HS, X-fi soundcard and looking to also add a 128gig SSD at the same time. Do I have anything to worry about ?

Your psu will more than enough :)

My system be,ow run 2 in crossfire and this pulled 430w from the mains at full load, Prime & 3d win mark running together.

Rather than creating a new thread for a related question, I'd just like to chip in.

In an attempt for more neatness I'm trying to cut down on number of internal cables. Is it safe to power 4 fans, 2 hard drives, and optical drive and a soundcard through 1 modular molex 4 pin cable (using a corsair hx650 - one cable has 4 connections), using suitable extensions/adapters? Or is it best to spread the number of devices over two cables? Just concerned about current draw.

i have always tried to even out the devices on each cable, but i dont know if either method is better :p
