Get whichever helmet fits your head best. Don't worry about what it looks like.

Unless it's painted bubblegum pink. In which case kill it with fire.

Looking for bike kit online is mostly pointless to be honest, because some stuff just won't fit you right. Do you have many bike gear shops where you live? Spend a day going round all of them and trying as much stuff on as you can. If nothing else it'll give you an idea of what sort of things you find comfortable.

For example I don't really like gloves with a big armoured cuff so I nearly always wear short gloves, but some people just don't feel safe in them, and you won't know without trying them on.

And I know that Lazer/AGV lids fit me nicely, Shoei lids are perfect, but ROOF lids for example just really aren't the right shape for my head and my chin hits the chin bar.

Try everything that you can on :)

Priority 1: Does the helmet fit snuggly and safely?

Priority 4: Does it have features you desire such as vents/cooling/visor removal quickly?
Priority 5: Price

I spent an Hour in HG trying many on. The AGV is the K4 the Nolan is the N-85...I tried on Shoei (to Narrow) AGV S4 SV crushed my cheeks to the point I was eating the insides of my mouth. Arai was OK but £299 and didn't feel ( Wow ) when compared to the above models for less both with the same Star rating.

If the Nolan fit you best, go for it. I think it matches the bike's paintwork nicely as well which is a bonus. I pretty much only buy black or black and white gear, so it doesn't matter if I change bikes. That lid will go with anything.

The Nolan has Bluetooth connectivity too :p

I just want to spend my money wisely and as its all new to me just wanted some feedback mate....There is a fine line between looking a tool and looking cool :p

As long as it's not pink with one of those sound activated dancing sunflowers on top they look pretty much the same to most people. Neither are going to make people point ad shout 'lulz' at you.

Sounds like you're fond of the Nolan, so go for it.

Worst case you find another one you prefer further down the line so keep the Nolan for a pillion, track day or as a back up if you have a spill or drop one.
