Potentially a stupid question, but im considering getting a new MBP in about 3 weeks and was wondering if ill need to buy a 2nd copy of MS office or if ill be able to install my current copy (thats installed on my Mac Pro) without issues?

My copy of MS office 2004 came with 3 licences, its the student edition I believe.
Check the back of your box, you may have more than one key.

Office 2008 Standard terms - would suggest that you can install on your primary device and also on another portable device for your own use (Term 2a).

Same applies for 2004 professional and 2004 Standard

I've installed Office2008 on three consecutive machines without issue.
